So last night I rediscovered the website howstuffworks.com. The website which if contains many pages explaining how various subjects "work". Let me explain what really makes this website great, now the have rather practical pages like, how fireworks work, how the internal combustion engine works, how earthquakes works. What really sets this site apart are articles describing the workings of subjects such as bigfoot, nirvana ( the state of being not the band), teleportation, time, and my favorite time travel.
So today I realize that I am faced with two rather important deadlines. The first or actually later deadline is completing traffic school. See when I had gone to court for my speeding ticket I was given the option of attending traffic school. Now If I chose to accept that option which I did I would have to pay about thirty dollars which I also did. This does not include the cost of traffic school.
Now my real dilemma is that I have to send my completion of traffic school certificate to the Mojave courthouse by the 3rd of July. I was also given the option of joining an online traffic school which costs only a mere twenty dollars to enroll in. The downside of this is that I will have to sit in front of my computer for hours looking at what I am told are comical pictures and videos which will drill the rules of the road into my head to ensure I am nothing but a model citizen. The upside of undergoing this process is that I will not have any points on my California driving record and my insurance rates will not go up.
My next deadline and the one due sooner is sending in my application to claim my California Governor's scholarship. Now this is due by the 30th and it would be a shame to throw 1000 into a state I am leaving especially since my tuition is pretty high as I am going to an out of state school. However I am unsure if the money will can be applied to an out of state school.
So anyway with all this free time, I am willing to take up all sorts of new projects such as watering friend's plants and feeding their pets. I think I may move their furniture two inches to the left. So the point of writing these several grammatically incorrect sentences is to just say now I know what it iis like to have free time.
I think I'll attempt to finish Gravity's Rainbow by the end of the month.
Yes this is the first post. This post will decide the entire perception of my blog. If I mess this up I will be forever shunned and ostracized for my horrendouse blogging abilities.
For the first time since I graduated from high school I have a summer off from school. To top it off I pretty much get off at 11 am everyday I work till I transfer. This provides me with more freetimee during the day than I am used to. So with this in mind I have to figure out how to manage my time besides looking and laughing at goth profiles on myspace. Luckily I have Gravity's Rainbow which consumes hopefully will take up most of my free time till I finish it. I will also finally attempt to learn the bass before giving up again.
